Dr. Brummer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He then completed his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Brummer continued his training in residency for the next four years. His first year was spent at WycoffHeightsMedicalCenter, an affiliate of WeillMedicalCollege at CornellUniversity, specializing in primary podiatric medicine. He then completed a three year surgical residency specializing in foot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at the Mount SinaiMedicalCenter in New York City.
Dr. Brummer continues to perform surgery as a clinical instructor at the Mount SinaiMedicalCenter. He also has surgical privelages at the 5th Avenue Surgery Center, GrammercyParkSugeryCenter, The New York Hospital of Queens and QueensHospitalCenter.
Dr. Brummer is a board certified foot surgeon by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the AmericanCollege of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association. He has also been an active member of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Brummer is the team doctor for two semi pro basketball teams, the Brookyn Kings of the United States Basketball League and the Harlem Strong Dogs of the American Basketball Association. He continues to treat competitive athletes specializing in sports medicine and podiatric surgery.
